A Message From our Pastor...
I would like to personally invite you to become a part of our church family here at the
Lighthouse. As Pastor of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, I believe a church should be a
place of worship and a place where friendships are established and people are
helped.
I try to make the atmosphere of our church one where people want to come, rather
than feeling as if they have to come. Our church is not a place where a bunch of
stereotypical Christians meet to let everyone know how spiritual they are or to show
off their new outfits. We here at the Lighthouse are just regular people who love the
Lord and want to be a blessing to others. We have many ministries for all ages that
can be a help to the whole family. If you are tired of the same old "religious” church
and would like to be a part of a church that is real with real Christians to build good
friendships, it would be an honor to have you as my guest.

| If You Missed the Past Couple of Weeks at Lighthouse.... You missed Lighthouse's Abundant Life Sunday School classes' End-of-the-Month Club bowling extravaganza! While it is true that the LBC men beat the LBC ladies, it is also true that NO ONE will be turning pro anytime soon! You also missed the Rummage Sale! It was a lot of fun, we chatted with lots of great people and the brownies were worth it all. We hope to have another one in a few months, so stay tuned. Not only that, but you also missed a great reminder for us as Christians, taught by Associate Pastor Jake, about how we must be careful to attach the proper motives to our efforts to evangelize; not encouraging people to come to Christ because He will make their lives comfortable and peaceful, but because we are sinners in need of a savior and He holds the key to true peace even during hardships and is the way to everlasting life. Don't miss what comes next! |

| Do you constantly speak of yourself in the 3rd person: "Did you hear? Mommy said no!" Do you find yourself using Dr. Seuss sentences? "Do not put that in the chair!" Do not spill that anywhere!" Do you speak in nonsense words? "Oh wooky-wooky at the cutesie-wootsie widdle baby-waby!" This may be a sign that you and your kids need a break from each other! LIGHTHOUSE CAN HELP! Lighthouse offers nursery care for all of its services. Lighthouse has Sunday School classes for children of all ages. Lighthouse has a special Wednesday program for your little Pee-Wees ages 4-10! This allows Mom and Dad to relax and fellowship with other grown-ups while the kids are in a fun, safe environment getting positive instruction that will help you as a parent. Instead of the kids asking you "Why?" after everything you say, you can ask Pastor, "Why?" after everything he says! :) |
